First you need to deactivate all the plugins installed. If you have many plugins installed then you may deactivate all from phpMyAdmin. I know you asking how to do it.

To disable all plugins using phpMyAdmin, login to your cPanel and click phpMyAdmin icon. After that, select your wordpress database that you want to alter.

Images below will appear after you have selected your database.

1. Select the wp_options table from your database.
2. Turn to ‘Browse’ tab.
3. Under the option_name column (field), look for active_plugins.
4. Then, click the pencil icon to edit the option_value.

!Note: If you couldn’t find the active_plugins row, click the next button. You will find it on the next page.



5. Go to the option_value text area as highlighted in the above images. Select all the codes inside the area and replace it with a:0:{}
6. Click ‘Go’ button to save the setting.

OK now you have deactivated all the plugins. Now login to your blog and click “Add New” under Posts. Don’t you see the Publish button in your left side . Now need to find out which plugin gave us this much trouble. Activate plugins one by and check the Ad New page. I’m sure you will find it .

First I need to wish you all a very Happy new year 2010 and the may the born English new year bring all the happiness, peace and prosperity. We have passed a successfully year 2009 and achieved many things. Oops this post I’m posting after six months….very long period of absence. There were several reasons for my absence but hope in this year i can post many topics in various areas. As a first step of giving reborn to this blog, I have changed the theme. Don’t ask me why again black .

I have been using this mig33 since January 2006. It seems they going to introduce new futures with their coming version 4.1 next week. In version 3.05 and before there was a feature to private a user even though he/she is not in contact list. Later it was removed but In coming version, they have added it again. Versions 4.XX are completely diferent than 3.08 and earlier versions in look and feel. Many people are complaining that 4.XX are very slow and heavy to handset. I was avoid using 4.XX versions because, it takes long time to load the contact list and untill it finishes, we have to wait. But in 4.1 version, immediate after logged in we can see the working interface .There are many fresh features also added .

From next week they going to introduce the concept “owner” of new chat rooms thus An ‘Owner’ of a new chat room is effectively the Admin for that chat room they have created. They introducing this concept for the fact all the chat rooms cannot be moderated by current few Administrators. And they stating that “Users have asked for a long time to have more control of their chatting experience, so they want to give those users who want to manage part of the mig33 community a chance to customize the experience”. With this new concept users can create their own mini community.

This will be applied only to the rooms that will be created in future and at this time existing rooms will continue to function as they do now. But in future may be the existing rooms also converted to this concept after considering user’s feedback. The owner can create the room and set keywords and descriptions to his rooms. Moreover he can configure the room whether kicking is allowed there or not. The room owner can kick the users regardless kicking is allowed in that particular room and also he can designate his power to other users since he can’t moderate his room all the time. Current Administrators won’t have any special power in owned chat rooms and they will be appeared as just ordinary users. Owner can ban the users from his room (he/she can’t ban users from other rooms). Any number of rooms can be created without cost but customizing the room won’t be free.

This owned chat room concept raises many questions in our mind. Obviously all the users will create new rooms to get Administrator power to those rooms and there are many chances they can abuse their power in those rooms. And the role of current Administrators will be limited only to existing rooms. Their one answer is, in the sense that chat room owners who misbehave won’t be able to attract users to visit his/her room.

I just briefed about the Owner concept which going to introduce next week. Lets see whether It is gonna be success one or changes will be needed on this concept:-).

Hiisi Proxy is a midlet for mobile that routes all the http traffic to Pihatonttu Proxy running on the PC. Before installing and running the applications, you have to configure it carefully.

Compatibility:
Tested and working in 6630, N73, N90, N80-1,N95, E51 and E61. It should work in any MIDP 2.0 (Bluetooth enabled) mobile phones.

Follow this installation method and configure your pc and phone carefully.

Configuring to PC

• In your pc JRE(Java runtime environment should be installed)
  If you wish to check whether installed or not, go to command prompt and type “java -version” (without quotes). if you don’t get the version details then CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD JRE(~7MB) and install it.
  

• In your PC bluetooth driver should be installed. Now Download the file and extract it. A folder named “Hiisi1.6.3″ should appear. In the “Hiisi1.6.3″ folder, go to “Pihatonttu” folder. Open up “Pihatonttu.cmd” in notepad (Right click and select Edit). You should see something like this:
  

  start javaw -Djava.library.path=. -cp .\lib\comm.jar;.\lib\jdic.jar;.\class Pihatonttu.PihatonttuMain COMXX null

  All you really need to change is XX – the COM port that your bluetooth driver uses.
  (In BlueSoleil 2.1.3 Release. In the main panel of BlueSoleil go to My Services -> Properties -> Serial Port A.) In my Broadcom 2045 bluetooth device,

  

  So in my case the port is COM5. I have modified the code like this
  

  start javaw -Djava.library.path=. -cp .\lib\comm.jar;.\lib\jdic.jar;.\class Pihatonttu.PihatonttuMain COM5 null

  null - if you need a proxy to connect to the internet, this is where you place that info. (‘proxy: port’ format). Otherwise, if you connect to the internet directly, leave it “null”.
  Save it and your PC config is done.

Configuring to Phone

• Inside “Hiisi1.6.3″ folder, there should be 3 folders and some READMEs. Open up the “Hiisi” folder, and inside go to “bin” folder. You can find a .jar file and .jad file. That’s the jar file you need to install to your phone. You can directly install the .jar file.[(But sometimes you cant open the installed software. So its better do this way)
  Copy both files(hiisi.jar and hiisi.jad) to the root of your MMC or phone memory,(doesn't matter how you get the files to your phone, via usb or bluetooth but it is important that both files are in the same directory for proper installation.)
  Then using any file explorer (could even use nokia file manager) locate and run the hiisi.jad file and not the JAR, this will be in a path looking something like E:/hiisi.jad (it is important to run the jad file, and NOT the jar file, or simply won't work at all, but .jar file must also be present in same dir as the .jad file for successful installation), so follow all on screen prompts which comes from after clicking the hiisi.jad file, and go ahead and install it.
  (when it asks for where to install >>
  If you have transferred the files on E:/, select memory card to install.
  If you have transferred them on C:/, select phone memory to install.)]
  
• On your phone, create a dummy Access Point (Using existing AP you can create a new one). Name it whatever you want(You can put whatever the string for Access Point Name).
  

  Then go to advance settings.

  

  Change proxy address to: “localhost”
  and proxy port to: “1234″

  (You can set this as default access point for the phone web browser)
  Now configuration for phone is done.

• Open up “Pihatonttu.cmd” in your PC.
• Now, fire up Hiisi from your phone (Make sure to turn your Phone’s Bluetooth on!) it should ask you:
  
  Press “Yes”. Then
  
  Select Bluetooth Mode. It should display:
  
  This time you wait…
  
  It should now show your PCs Bluetooth display name. Select it.And it should then say something like:
  “Searching for bluetooth port”

  It should have found something like:
  

  Select “btspp://*******” it and it should finally say:
  

• Now minimize Hiisi and open up your web browser (You can try mig33,opera mini or gmail app also) . Select the Dummy Access Point. And try opening a website
  

• Your PC might ask for pairing, just say yes to all.

Google analyzes the webpage that has the text link to another website and looks at several essential qualities of the webpage. For instance, one of the most beneficial quality is the PageRank of the webpage that has the link to another website. The higher the PageRank of the “linker”, the higher the link will value. For example, if PAGE A has a PageRank of 5 and is linking to PAGE B. This link will be valued more as PAGE A has a high PageRank of 5. Whereas if PAGE A had a small PageRank of 2 then this link will not be valued as much. Another factor that is taken into consideration is the amount of links on a webpage. If PAGE A has only one link on the page, it will be valued much more than if it were to have five links on the page.

The Google PageRank is determined on the result of many factors. Some of the main ones are:

This mainly applies to ADSL (or ‘phoneline’) broadband, because the quality of your phone line, the distance your house is from the telephone junction box, how old the line is and many other factors can alter your final download and upload speeds. With cable internet, things are much less cluttered. Your internet is sent down a single, high-speed fibre optic cable that well, doesn’t really have any differ factors. The ‘up to’ speed given to you by your cable provider may not be exactly the same as the speed you are actually getting, but it will be pretty damn close.

So, how to find out your broadband speed?. Simply we can do an online test. www.speedtest.net, a website that provides an application which runs a small test on your internet connection and tells you what speeds you are getting currently. Measure the speed at different times of day, especially during the hours when you use the connection the most, and at least once after midnight or 1 am (when competition for bandwidth is likely to be at its lowest level). This will average out the speed at different times and give you a fair idea of your overall speed. You will get detailed stats of upload and download speeds of your current ISP, and also a comparative chart which can help you pick a better deal.

The following is the test results given by www.speedtest.net when the time i’m posting this topic.

Find out your actual broadband speed this way and remember this speed is not constant and it will be a changing value in accordance with many factors.

So, to fix the problem you have to simply navigate to Settings >> Miscellaneous in your WordPress Dashboard and then change the path to where your uploads folder is located.

If you don’t know what the absolute path to your WordPress directory is, it seems as if the relative path works just as well. So for instance, if your blog is hosted on your own domain, something like www.yourdomain.com, your relative path to your WordPress uploads directory would be something like this:

and your absolute path would be something like this (on most web hosts, but not all): But actually you don’t need to enter anything and leave it as blank. In my case this absolute path was set according to my previous host. So i just deleted that and now it working fine.

Once you change that option in your WordPress admin area, uploading should start working again .

This is a simple guide will be helpful to novices those who want to develop and host own website. I will post this guide in parts such as How to create a website using Adobe Dreamweaver, Getting a domain name, Find a web host, Configuring DNS settings to domain name, Uploading the site to web host using ftp etc…

This guide will provide only the basic necessary details. You need to study further if you plan todevelop and host rich professional websites. Now first let’s create a simple website using, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.

How to create a simple website using Dreamweaver CS3
Adobe Dreamweaver Creative Suite 3 (CS3), formerly known as Macromedia Dreamweaver, is a fully-featured commercial web editor that allows you to create, build and manage complex websites. The editor is a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) web editor, which means that you can design your web page visually and whatever you see on the screen is what your visitors will see when they visit your website. Dreamweaver generates standards-compliant code for your website which means your website will not become “broken” every time a new version of a web browser is released. For the technically inclined, the HTML and CSS code that it creates for your website will validate correctly.

Now we assume you have installed Adobe Dreamweaver on your PC. Open Adobe Dreamweaver and now you can see the greeting page some thing like shown below.

Now we are going to create a simple html page called “index.htm”, so select HTML and the following page will be shown which is called Dreamweaver’s development environment. By clicking on Design”, we can see the Design page (Sometimes directly Design pane will be opened) where you can design your website without any prior knowledge in HTML. The design page will be very easy for those who already familiar with Microsoft Word or same type editors. If you go to the code view by pressing the code button, here you see the default HTML skeleton code that Dreamweaver has generated in your new document.

We can edit the page properties by clicking on the button “Page Properties”.

Set the title as “Welcome Page” (you can put whatever the name you wish). After setting the page properties click Apply then Ok. Now I assume you can design a simple webpage. The following is a simple page I have created.

We will now test our page in our browser to see what it looks like. Dreamweaver can launch your browser for you and load the page if you do Menu -> Preview in Browser. (Press shortcut F12 for preview in Firfox browser)

If your menu does not have any browsers listed, you can select Edit Browser List in menu above to setup Dreamweaver to become aware of the browsers that you have on your computer.
Dreamweaver needs to have a saved document in order to preview, so it might ask if you want to save the changes made to the current document. Say “yes” and save this file as index.html

After Dreamweaver launches your page, you should see the following come up. Notice our title in the window header.

Now a webpage ready to host. I will post how to get the domain and upload it a real web host in next part. But for now lets look on the HTML codes auto generated by Dreamweaver according to the components and texts you have arranged using Design pane.

• The text between <html> and </html> describes the web page.

• The text between <p> and </p> is displayed as a paragraph.

In this post i can explain how to change or create the “.htacess” and process this purpose. The “.htaccess” file is what Apache web servers use to allow you to fine-tune your web server configurations at a directory level. Other types of web servers handle the customization of 404 error pages differently.So this post only will helpful to the webmasters those who hosted their site on Apache webservers.

Creating/Modifying the .htaccess File

This step may not be necessary in all situations. Some web hosts already configure their web server so that it will look for a specific file in your web directory when a certain document cannot be found. If so, simply skip this step.

If already the .htaccess file exists on your server then, you need to do is to add the following line to a file named “.htaccess” (without the enclosing quotes and with the preceding period). In most instances, no such file will exist, and you can simply create one with a text editor (such as Notepad on Windows).

ErrorDocument 403 http://site.com/folder/403.htm
ErrorDocument 401 http://site.com/folder/401.htm

You will of course need to put the 403.htm, 401.htm and 404.htm file in the main web directory for the above directive to work.

The “ErrorDocument” directive essentially tells the Apache web server that whenever it cannot find the file it needs in that directory and its subdirectories, it is to use the document specified in the URL that follows. If you wish you can put “index.htm” or “index.php” to redirect the visitors to your home page in case 401,402,404 type error occurs (in this case you don’t need to create the custom error page).

Creating Your Error Document File

You’ll only really need to design a couple for the more common errors, for file not found (404) or unauthorized/forbidden (403, 401). Your custom error pages should have a brief summary of what went wrong and an encouragement for the visitor to try again or explore a different area of the site. The best custom error pages are those that match the site’s other pages in navigation and layout.

Note: It is best practise adding the following line between the <head> and </head> tags:

<META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW”>

You don’t want search engines spidering the page – it has been known to cause problems.

When you’re satisfied with your page, upload it together with your .htaccess file to your website. Then test it by typing a URL that you know does not exist.

Your error page should load up. From this error page, test to see that the links here lead to the pages you intended it to lead.

Common Errors with a 404 Custom Error Page

The most common error people have with their custom error page is making a mistake in the URL they put in their .htaccess file. This leads the web server into a loop when a visitor tries to access a missing file. When a file cannot be found the server tries to load the file specified in your ErrorDocument directive. But that file does not exist too, so it tries to load the file specified in that directive. You get the idea.
Make sure you test your error file by typing in a non-existent URL. Do not test it by typing its real URL – that will of course work but it will prove nothing.
